چکیده:
The properties of a composite material depends on the properties of individual component phases & their interaction. In contrast, conventional flame retardant additives such as brominated compounds and hydrates ,improve the flammability of polymers but tend to reduce many of their physical properties. Nano -composites comprised of organic polymers and inorganic nano-particles , and applied in coatings, adhesives, rubber reinforcements and biomedical and electronical industrial materials. In this nano-composites inorganic nano-particles we improve the physical properties of the base polymers or add proper function of them. The properties of nano-composites are greatly influenced by the dispersing degree of inorganic components in the base polymer . In previous works the dispersing degree of inorganic nano-particles was insufficient. so many approaches have been done to bestow on the organic component ,affinity toward the base polymer. Silica nano-particles are often treated with silane coupling agents for this purpose .Encapsulation of inorganic components with a surfactant polymer is another ,more effective approach to improve its affinity to the base polymer.Efficient encapsulation has Also been conducted by the proper choice of monomers .Concerning the surfactant ,the use of ionic surfactant having opposite electronic charge to the particle has previously been reported , the absorbed surfactant on the particle surface is considered to improve the affinity to the organic monomers.The preparation of organic-inorganic nanohybrides in a form of emulsion is much preferable because of its easy processability.In the present study , we investigated the preparation of nano-composite emulsion and increase in its physical and environmental properties.also we postulate a method to prepare an encapsulated nanocomposite.Although the flame retardant mechanism of polymer – clay nano composite has not been well resolved , several hypotheses have been proposed
