چکیده مقاله:

Nitrate contamination in water is a major threat to public health. This study investigated the efficiency of denitrification of aqueous solutions in the presence of nano scale zero valent iron coated with Starch. To achieve this objective batch experiments were performed to investigate the influence of three parameters, including initial Nitrate concentration, nano scale Fe0- starch concentration and temperature. The experimental results showed that the NO3- reduction efficiency was enhanced by decreasing initial Nitrate concentration and also removal efficiency of Nitrate enhanced by increasing temperature and increasing nano scale zero valent iron coated with starch concentration.
